Lip Hair Removal
By christdean
Hair growth on the lips can be one of the most embarrassing problems faced by women. It looks odd on a woman and will mar the appearance, no matter how beautiful she otherwise looks. There are several lip hair removal techniques. Some of them are permanent whereas others are temporary.
Let us see some of the lip hair removal techniques:
Threading/ Tweezing
Threading/ Tweezing: This is a temporary method of removing hair from the lip area. The hair is plucked out using cotton thread. This is a very painful method of hair removing. Some people even use tweezers to pluck hair. Here too, single strand of hair is plucked with the help of tweezers. Though this method is cheap, it is not advisable as you will have to tweeze the hair every few days.
Waxing
Waxing: Getting the lip hair waxed is better as compared to tweezing, since, it is less painful and the hair is pulled from the roots. Waxing can be done at home. Ready made wax is available in the market. You need to heat the wax before applying it on the lips. Only a little amount of wax is to be spread it evenly on the hair growth. Press the area where the wax is applied and pull it in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Waxing is a temporary method of lip hair removal. But the hair growth may reduce after waxing a couple of times.
Hair removing creams/lotions: There are various hair removing lotions available in the market. The hair is not removed from the roots and therefore, when it grows again, it tends to be rough.
Laser therapy: Lip hair removal by laser therapy is more or less permanent. But, the treatment is costly and it may require many sessions. Laser therapy is proved to be effective when the hair is to be removed from a larger part of the body.
Electrolysis: Electrolysis is a permanent method of hair removal. Each hair follicle passes through an electric current with the help of a needle. The electric current destroys the cells responsible for hair growth. A lot of time is consumed in removing hair, since each hair is to be treated separately. It is also very costly. If the needle is not sterilized, it can lead to infection.
Bleaching: This is not a hair removing technique. But the color of the hair is lightened by bleaching the hair, so that the hair on the lips is not visible.
Thus, there are several lip hair removal methods available. You need to choose one as per the time and budget available to you.
